Our dual study programs
Intensive cooperation for university and company
At FHM Frechen, engineering courses are the focus of qualification. A strong cooperation with medium-sized companies from the region is therefore essential for the success of our students and contributes to securing the next generation of engineers. The high level of practical relevance within our degree courses is very important to us! After all, we want our graduates to go straight into the workplace as highly trained specialists and managers.
The engineering Bachelor's degree courses at FHM are characterized by a special combination of science and practice: during their three-year studies, students complete a practical phase of 2 days per week in the company. On the remaining 3 days, they study at the FHM Frechen. The cooperation and the company network are multifaceted and offer every student of the dual study program B.Eng. Industrial Engineering in the fields of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Energy & Environment. Our partner companies are located within a radius of up to 200 kilometers around the Frechen study location: From the Eifel region to Duisburg, FHM cooperates with construction companies, manufacturers, suppliers and electricity providers.
